Busy, Busy, Busy, Busy, Busy
Thursday, March 1, 2012 Or...also known as my excuse as to why I don't have a new blog post for you guys today. Sorry! I have started down that pre-publication crush of work that I always forget about until I run smack into it. Too many articles to write, too many things to reply to, too many...well, too much of everything. (Except sleep. There is never enough of that.) I just realized that THE SONG REMAINS THE SAME is out in just about a month (craaaa-zy!), and so naturally, things have started to amp up. But this also means that I missed writing something for the blog. One thing I'm reminding myself of these days is that sometimes, I'm going to have to let some things slide if I want to stay sane...over the next few weeks, I might have to let a blog post or two slide. I'm going to try not to, but...I might.
Just in case I do. :) You know that it's not that I'm not thinking of you guys.
Anyhoo, I promise I'll have something new next week. In the meantime, this is a good time to post your publishing-related questions below. Whenever I'm procrastinating, I find that the best way to generate new blog posts is to have some really interesting questions to answer. So feel free to lob one in the comments.
Thanks!

Since you're thick into pre-launch activities, when you get a chance, why not do a series of short posts on the various types of things you're consumed with at this point? I'm sure many are marketing/promotional in nature. I'd be interested, and I bet others would be too. Thanks and good luck
All the best to you with everything. We learn so much from you and keep up the great work!
Best,
Alice
oooh yes! I second Linda (above) - would love to know what the lead-up's like.
Also - will there be a book tour? Please? Pleeeease??? :)
Lastly, good luck with everything and thank you (again) for all that you do! This blog is such a wonderful, honest (and wonderfully honest!) resource. Absolutely love it!
I'll send (yet another) question whenever I have one, but in the meantime anything you want to say about the revision process would be fantastic! Maybe how you approach that editorial letter, how you line out your revisions, if you tend to do them all at once or skip around, how you keep up your morale...
That said, I love the others' ideas of topics, too!
I third Linda on wanting to know about these pre-launch activities. I imagine it's mostly promo stuff, but I'd love to learn more.
Good luck on the launch. Here's a question:
How much is your publisher doing for your book launch and how much is up to you?
Ditto to everyone's comments!
I'm getting so excited! Preordered today, hoping I get it before I leave for Spring Break.
Hi guys,
Thank you! I'll start answering these tomorrow. And Allie - a special thank you for the pre-order!!
