I'm Back!
Monday, June 28, 2010 And I have a lot to catch up on - including getting Random House to fill your BOGO orders, getting a few of the contest winners addresses to their authors, and returning some of the, oh, 1000+ emails that came in while I was gone.
I'm also going to get back to answering your questions here, so just hang in there while I play catch up. ALSO, the girls from the last giveaway and I are doing another HUGE contest, this time the brainchild of the great Leah Stewart. She'll be posting details on her twitter feed: @leahcstewart, as will I, so be sure to follow one of us to get in on it. I'll also update the blog accordingly.
My trip was such a whirlwind but in the best of all ways. I caught up with friends I haven't seen - literally - in years, and I can sincerely say that I was so, so, SO touched by each and every person who showed up to my readings. I've discovered - over the past few years and in this topsy-turvy industry - that one of the attributes I value most in my friends and in life in general is loyalty, and truly, I was overwhelmed with gratitude at the loyalty that some dear friends (and readers) showed in their support and encouragement of me. I only hope that I pay it both forward and backward to them and to you.
Anyway, it's late. I'm exhausted. I'll catch-up and give you all the scoop on the week and get back to answering your questions asap.

It is encouraging to see another mother having so much success with her creative endeavours. It can be so hard to balance both. I found it took a long time to come back after my girls were born. I'm finally getting back into writing a little and reading for fun now that university is done and the girls are getting bigger. I have picked up a couple of yours for my vacation, can't wait to read them!
So glad to hear you had a wonderful trip and such a special, memorable time. You more than deserved it after how hard you've been working!!
