The Onslaught Begins

So I have so many wonderful interview and Q/As to link to - I'm going to consolidate the today - and thank you to everyone who has posted on their blog about the book! Here are a few that I wanted to share today. Don't FORGET: buy the book in the next four days, and enter to win the prizes below! I still have some bookplates to send out, so do it asap to get a personalized one.

The first link I wanted to pass along is to the wonderful Meg Waite Clayton's blog: 1st Books, in which authors discuss how they first got published. I share my own demoralizing, and then euphoric path to finding an agent and publication, and I hope it's helpful - and inspiring - for those of you slogging away right now.

Next, take a click over to The Booking Mama's website, where I'm guest blogging about how much of my characters are actually gleaned from real life. I know that this assumption is made of a lot of fiction writers, so it was interesting to sit down and explain myself. :)

From there, check out the below article in American Way. I'm so honored to have been featured - I've written for them for a long, long time, and think the world of the staff, writers and magazine in general.

Finally - if you still have the stamina! - you must watch this ridiculous video of NINE THINGS YOU DIDN'T KNOW ABOUT ME - by the wonderful, fabu gals at Chick Lit Is Not Dead.

Allison, the video cracked me up! You are a riot! Much love for your gym-going ways and that sunflower tattoo, my dear. You are a gem! Hope the week is going well. xoxo

LOL: "Hey, that looks like fun."

I'm curious, why were you a Phillies fan if you grew up in Seattle?

Kristan-
My parents are both from the Philadelphia area, so I guess they conditioned me well. Also, at the time, I lived in Charlottesville (didn't move to Seattle until I was 10), so we'd go to Veteran's Stadium in the summer when we were visiting my grandparents.

LOL! Why have one cereal when you can have six? My mind has officially been expanded. Thank YOU. Curious, what cereals make the best combos?

LOVE the blog about how you got your start in publishing. And what a great find! Lots of my favorite authors talking about their first days, too. I hope you are enjoying the early days of your newest novel. . .
