Redbook June Book Pick
Friday, May 21, 2010 Okay, we are a WEEK AND A HALF out from the release of The One That I Want. EEEK! More on the madness on Monday. Some fun news clips will be coming in over the next few weeks that I'm excited about, and the first of them just hit newsstands. Redbook selected The One That I Want as a June read, saying, it's a "novel about the choices we welcome and the ones we resist." Which I loved because that's really it exactly, and that's really life exactly. Which is a lot of what this book is about: life, the good, the not-so-good, the reality. Despite the supernatural elements involved in the story line.
UPDATE: I've decided to do a last-minute contest over on Facebook. Come on over and share your favorite music memory from high school or college! I'm giving away a signed copy of The One That I Want, maybe two, contingent on how many entries there are.
Anyhoo, take a look at the beautiful clip below, and if you haven't already, feel free to swing on by and pre-order a copy!

How Cool!!!!!! I personally can't wait to read your book.
Question -- How do the magazines pick books to highlight? Do they ask for suggestions from the publishers? Or does your publicist/publisher ask for them to be reviewed? etc.
Congrats! And ditto what Judy asked -- good question!
