What Has She Done For You Lately?

Namely: your agent.

Yup, guess what? You're allowed to have certain criteria and expectations of your representation, and today, I'm over on Writer Unboxed talking about why these criteria are critical to your success and what, specifically, you have a right to expect from him or her.

Check it out here.

Also, I'm thrilled to be in this month's Women On Writing Ezine, in their 20 Questions Feature. As you guys know, I'm a big fan of supporting other women and other working moms, so I hope you'll take a second to click over to my interview. I enjoyed it a lot.

Loved the 20 questions! She did a really good job asking questions that delved into the process of translating a book into a movie and what that's like for the author, and of course you did a great job answering, hehe.

Also, I'm SUPER glad to hear Michael Vartan is awesome, because he's pretty much the dreamiest ever. ;)

I really enjoyed both of these! Allison, you are definitely an inspiration for someone like me, trying to get my first book sold and working on the next. . .Ia m fortunate to have an agent, but waiting to hear from editors, and the rejection, is HARD.

Loved reading more about you in the 20 questions. I also loved the one (cant' remember was it Redbook?), where you talked about your mom and how she taught you to be nice to people. It's amazingly true how being nice and giving out positive energy totally changes the type of people who gravitate towards you. Good luck with the new book and I'm excited to read it.
