For Me, For You

To quote the great Randy Jackson...today, I'm over at Debra Schubert's blog, Write On Target, doing one of my favorite interviews in recent memory, giving advice to other aspiring novelists. She asked a lot of great questions about where aspiring writers might go wrong, my writing process, and what it takes to be a full-time writer.

So be sure to swing by and check it out! I'm going to check back periodically too and answer questions if people have them.

LOL omg Randy Jackson, I wouldn't have gotten it unless you said it, but now that I do: HAHAHAHAHA! Too funny.

I really have to thank you for what you said on Debra's blog!
I woke up this morning wondering if my manuscript was ready, and what you said helped me TREMENDOUSLY! I've decided that if I'm questioning if it's ready-it's not.
You were so honest in ur interview and actually answered the questions-I absolutely love that! I haven't read one of ur books yet, but I'll have to use my bookstore gift card to get one now! U are fabulous and if u were here, I'd hug u for helping me answer the query thing! :)

Allison, I enjoyed reading the interview. The questions about the your drafts and revision process prompted another from me. You're so great about responding to queries that I hate to add another to the stack, but I was curious how your book changes from the first draft to the final. I'm getting stuck on some sections of my story - or the plot shifts and I know I'm going to need to make some changes in the beginning - and I can't decide if I need to fix it then or move on and then change it all at once. I know everyone is different, but what's your process? Thanks!
